Measurable Goal:

 

By May 2011, the percentage of students scoring proficient or distinguished will increase by 29.93 for a total percentage of all students scoring proficient or distinguished in Math of 70.92 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.   By May 2011, the percentage of students scoring Novice in Math will decrease by 1.5 for a total percentage of all students scoring novice in Math of 9.50 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.   By May 2011, ALL NCLB subgroups will reach their NCLB Math proficiency target of 70.92 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.   By May 2011, the percentage of White (Non-Hispanic) students scoring proficient or distinguished in Math will increase to 70.92 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.  

Priority Need:

In May 2010, the percentage of students scoring proficient or distinguished in Math was 40.99 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.   In May 2010, the percentage of students scoring Novice in Math was 18.86 as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.   In May 2010, 0 out of 2 NCLB subgroups reached their NCLB Math proficiency target as measured on the Kentucky Core Content Test.

·        All teachers will analyze results of student assessment. This will include, but not limited to ThinkLink and KCCT-like teacher made assessments.
·        3rd-6th grade teachers will utilize math KCCT Coach books. 3rd-5th grade teachers will utilize KCCT Buckle Down books.
·        PLC grade-like teams with instructional coach and Malinda Apanay. Creation of SMART goals and PDSA goals in the area of math.
 
·        Teachers will implement Calendar Math and Partner Games to supplement math instruction.
