Go Boom!

This photo was taken in June of 2015 on a cruise to Alaska.  We were cruising the Tracy Arm Fjord and my dad and I went on a boat excursion so we could get an up close look at the glaciers.  The tour guide pointed at the glacier and said it looked as if a large chunk was going to fall.  I used my Canon Rebel T5i and took several shots of the chunk of glacier as it fell into the water below.  I was amazed at how blue the ice was and how loud the crash was as it broke away from the glacier.  I like this picture because when I look at it I can hear the big boom it made as it came down.  I also like the contrast of the white water against the blue glacier and if you look closely you can see 3 seals relaxing on the chunks of ice.  I thought the lighting was perfect; even though you cannot see the sky, the glacier was as blue as the Alaskan sky.  I set my camera to landscape mode and used the continuous shooting feature.  I used a 75-300 mm zoom lens which allowed me to shoot closer than I actually was.  I did not use a filter or edit the photo in any way.
