Governor's Cup-Regional Results

 

Crabbe Elementary Future Problem Solving team took first place in regional competition at Russell. The students on the team were Hayleigh Buckler, Izzy Martin, Nakyan Pankey, and Kyesha Johnson.

Crabbe placed 4th overall.

 

Employee 403(b) Plan

It will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, 6:00-7:30 PM in the school cafeteria. DJ Love will be providing the music. Admission is $2:00 and we will have concessions. Fundraiser for Safety Patrol.

Congratulations To Crabbe's Governor's Cup Team!

 

Congratulations to Crabbe’s Governor’s Cup Team for their performance on Monday January 28th. Crabbe  hosted the meet which included Rose Hill Christian School, Hager and Charles Russell.

· Placing 1st in Language Arts was Adrianna Riggs, and 3rd  was Franny Hendriks.

· Placing 3rd in Science was Izzy Martin and 5th Alex Hackworth.

· Placing 3rd in Art & Humanities was Tim Kessler and 4th Ayden Donall.

· Placing 4th in Social Studies Kyesha Johnson.

· Placing 4th in Math was Tim Kessler.

Our next match is Monday, February 11 at Fairview Elementary.

YMCA TRUNKS & TREATS ( FAMILY FUN NIGHT)! FREE



Join the YMCA in our parking lot on Tuesday, October 16th From 6:00-7:00 PM for family night while Y staff local churches and businesses provide a safe and fun trick or treat event out of the trunks of their cars while a live DJ is scaring up some spooky tunes. No costume necessary.

Children age 0 trought 6th grade.

KENTUCKY LITERACY WEEK/MARCH READING

 On Friday they must pay $0.50 to wear a hat for the Safety Patrol fundraiser, but the other days they do not need to pay anything.

 Monday- Fox in Socks- Crazy Sock day

Tuesday- Oh the Places You'll Go- Camo day

Wednesday- Wacky Wednesday- Mismatch clothes

Thursday- Horray for Diffendoofer Day- Inside out clothes

Friday- The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins- Crazy Hat day (Pay $0.50 for Safety Patrol Fundraiser)
 
 

 

MARCH READING

In addition, starting today March 1-March 29th, we will be starting another competition between the homeroom classes for most books read through the month of March. The K-2 homerooms will compete with each other and the 3-6 homerooms will compete with each other. The winning homerooms (1 from K-2 and 1 from 3-6) will win a cupcake party and a classroom set of books for their class use (winners choose book title).
I have attached a reading log to be used or you can use your own. Submit books read each Friday, this includes, read alouds as part of instruction or student AR book reading. If you have any questions, you know where to find me!

BOX TOPS!


The PTO is sponsoring a BOX TOP drive from now to February 28th. We are working towards a new playground equipment.
 
The homeroom with the MOST BOX TOPS submitted by February 28th, will win a class pizza party. Bring BOX TOPS to school!
PENNIES FOR PUPS! AARF
PENNIES FOR PUPS!

Crabbe will start our school wide AARF fundraiser on Tuesday, October 16th called "Pennies for Pups!" The fundraiser will last 1 month. AARF is a NO KILL shelter located in our own Ashland, Kentucky. It is run by volunteers that love animals and want to help save lives.
 
The class that raises the most pennies will get a pizza party and a surprise dessert! 

Let's all pull together and raise money for AARF! Help save the life of an animal!

AARF is a NO KILL shelter and is strictly run by volunteers.

Medical Information for Students with an IEP
The Ashland Independent School District is pleased to provide your child with the special education and related services as listed on their Individual Education Program (IEP). These services are provided at no cost to you.   If your child has a medical card with a Medicaid number or KCHIP card, it is possible for AISD to obtain Federal funds to help support the cost involved in providing some of these special education services.
Voluntary Accident Medical Coverage Now Available
Parents and Guardians of students attending the Ashland Independent Schools may now purchase voluntary accident medical coverage through Nationwide Life.  For more information please print one of the attached documents or visit the K&K student website.
