I am beginning my twenty-third year teaching high school social studies.  I graduated from Morehead State University with a BA in Secondary Education/Social Studies in1993 and I received my Masters in Secondary Education from Morehead State in 2001. I began my  teaching career at Russell High School and after having my second child, I decided to take a couple of years off from teaching.  The opportunity to join the Blazer faculty developed in 2009 and wishing to return to the classroom I jumped at the chance.  I thoroughly enjoy teaching history and hope to encourage students to develop an interest in history.  I have taught the Advanced Placement courses for about 20 years. I also teach HIS 108-109 offering students the opportunity to receive six college credit hours through ACTC.
