Beginning Monday, September 20th, 2021 Ashland Independent School District will provide a virtual instructional platform in addition to the current in-person option.  As a result, meal distribution will change for virtual learners.  Students choosing the in-person instructional model will continue to be served at each school and will have access to one free breakfast and one free lunch each day at their school.  In-person students may continue to place money on their account and purchase ala carte items.  To minimize contact, cafeterias will NOT have change on site.

Students choosing the virtual platform will have access to meals via a drive-through system located at Paul G. Blazer High School on Tuesday and Thursday each week from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.  Additional breakfast and lunch meals will be provided for non-service days.  Blazer will be the only location providing meals for virtual students.  Meal service will NOT be available when school is out of session for in person learning. In order to participate in the drive-through system, parents/guardians MUST:

  • Complete the Virtual Leaner Application found at
  • Within the application select “YES” to participate in the drive-through system AND list two individuals with permission to pick-up meals for the virtual learner. 
  • The student and/or adult will be verified at the time of pick-up and MUST provide the student’s meal card and/or show proper identification.


Only students registered as virtual learners are eligible for the drive-through meal system.  Due to USDA regulations, meals will only be distributed to students and parents/guardians found on our verification list.  Therefore, it is extremely important that the Virtual Learner Application is completed and submitted by Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 by 4:00 p.m.
