If your child is currently virtual and you want him/her to remain virtual for the second semester you must call the school and let them know.

If your child is currently virtual and you want him/her to return to school in person on January 3, 2022 you must call the school and let them know.

If your child is currently an in person learner and you want him/her to become a virtual learner on January 3, 2022 you must call the school and let them know.

Please read the information below before committing to our virtual option and please understand that your child(ren) will not receive live instruction.

Students will begin or continue the virtual learning experience on Monday, January 3, 2022

Beginning Tuesday, November 16, 2021 the drive-through meal service available to students choosing the virtual learning platform will change.  Meals will still be available at Paul G. Blazer High School on Tuesday and Thursday each week.  However, the timeframe will change to 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.  Students will still receive meals for the day of service and non-service days.  Only students registered as virtual learners that requested meal service are eligible for the drive-through meal system.

Please remember meal service will not be available when school is out of session for in person learning.  Therefore, we will not provide meals during the week of November 22-26 but will resume service on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

If you have any further questions please contact Linda Calhoun or Lena Reese at 606-327-2706.

Now Taking applications for Virtual Learners!

The Ashland Independent School District is now taking applications for students who wish to participate in the Virtual Learning Experience from September 20, 2021 until December 17, 2021.  Families who wish to remain in-person do not need to apply.  Even though you may have completed an interest survey at your school this weekend, you still must complete this application by 4:00 pm on Wednesday, September 15th to be enrolled in the virtual program.  The link can be found here:

Beginning Monday, September 20th, 2021 Ashland Independent School District will provide a virtual instructional platform in addition to the current in-person option.  As a result, meal distribution will change for virtual learners.  Students choosing the in-person instructional model will continue to be served at each school and will have access to one free breakfast and one free lunch each day at their school.  In-person students may continue to place money on their account and purchase ala carte items.  To minimize contact, cafeterias will NOT have change on site.
