  • Biography

A biography is a written account of someone's life. You will also find autobiographies in this section, which are written accounts of a person's life written by that person. Our biography collection includes the popular "Who Was?" series, which are book summaries about many important people throughout history. In the library, you will know a book is a biography if it has a round blue circle on the spine. If it has a pink circle, you will know that is a collective biography. Collective biography books are biographies about a group of people, such as a band. So if you are looking for a book about John Lennon, check out the blue-sticker biographies, but if you are looking for the Beatles, search for a pink-sticker collective biography!

  • Nonfiction

Nonfiction books are any book based on actual events, real people, or facts. Our nonfiction books are classified using the Dewey Decimal System, and have a green circle on the spine. Included in nonfiction, in the Arts & Recreation category, are graphic novels. You can find them at 741.5. We have a great graphic novel collection! Come check it out!

  • Fiction

Fiction, or fantasy, are any books that are feigned, imagined, or made up. These stories are not real, but can include any type of fantasy story:

    • Romance
    • Science Fiction
    • Young Adult
    • Historical Fiction
    • Mystery
    • Thriller
    • Horror
    • Sports Fiction
    • Mythological Fiction
    • Fantasy

And so many more! Our expanisve fiction collection is so varied, you are sure to find a book to fall in love with in this section!

If you are interested in reading a book but you cannot find it in our collection, let us know! You may request a book to hold or to order during your library visit!
