The Kentucky Wesleyan Scholars Academy is a summer program for high school juniors/rising seniors to introduce them to the small college environment while preparing them for the college search and decision process.  The week-long Academy is led by Wesleyan faculty, staff and alumni, using space and resources on our campus and around Owensboro.  This year, the academy is June 21-27, 2020.

We are offering three tracks for students this summer:

  • Leadership Development
  • Science and Mathematics
  • Criminal Justice and Psychology (new for 2020)

We are particularly excited about our new track in Criminal Justice and Psychology – our faculty are planning some exciting activities and experiences related to forensic psychology. Our faculty in biology, chemistry, zoology, physics and mathematics, too, have gone above and beyond to plan a week of exploration in the sciences with college-level lab activities.

We are excited for this years academy and would really appreciate any partnership in allowing a member of our team to speak to classes or student groups over the next few months.  More information is online at
