Mathematics, Physics, and Advanced Technology Exploration Day

The Morehead State University College of Science and Technology is making final plans for a special showcase in the areas of mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering technology. Outstanding juniors and seniors who are interested in these disciplines are cordially invited to participate in the 23rd  Annual Mathematics, Physics, and Advanced Technology Exploration (MPATE) Day scheduled for Wednesday, November 2, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Teams consisting of students from different schools will participate in challenging and exciting learning activities involving mathematics, computer science, physics, and engineering technology. Prizes will be awarded to teams that achieve the highest scores on the explorations and teachers will be invited to observe and discuss

 

General Schedule for MPATE Day:

8:00 a.m. – 8:45 p.m.                      “Check-In” (Adron Doran University Center) Advisors pick up packets and students get into their designated teams. Also, a continental breakfast will be available during this time. (Buses will need to enter at the East end of campus by Dairy Queen.)

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon                   EXPLORATIONS

12:00 noon – 1:30 p.m.                  Large group problem solving activities, lunch, and awards (Button Auditorium)
